Verbs: Future Tense


The most common way of using verbs in the future tense is by using the verb "ir" followed by "a" and the verb that is taking place in the future.

Yo voy a llavar los platos. (I am going to wash the dishes.)

Tú vas a llavar los platos. (You are going to wash the dishes.)

Él/Ella va a llavar los platos. (He/She is going to wash the dishes.)

Nosotros vamos a llavar los platos. (We are going to wash the dishes.)

Vosotros vais a llavar los platos. (You all are going to wash the dishes.)

Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes van a llavar los platos. (They/You all are going to wash the dishes.)

A less common way of using verbs in the future is by conjugating them. The future-tense conjugations are easy to learn since they do not change based on the verb type and you don't need to get rid of the last two letters when conjugating. Here are the future tense conjugations:
